USA Projects + USA Fellows initiatives

Another great resource to become familiar with many of the top contemporary visual artists and innovative emerging artist ideas is the USA Projects + USA Fellows initiatives. The USA Projects and USA Fellows projects came directly out of the study that revealed:

Although 96% of Americans value ART in their communities and lives, only 27% value ARTISTS.

They have invested over $22 million to serve as a hub for serious emerging, mid-career and established artists.  This site has two models- USA Projects, an open source space where artists can raise money to support their specific art projects, and USA Fellows, where a diverse panel selects the top multi-disciplinary artists that are working in the US and awards them with the $50,000 grant.
